Big Fat Friday Free For All

Once again folks, it's time for BFFFFA!  What's on your mind?  Feeling sorry for Nancy Pelosi this morning?  Wondering if John Boehner will try to smoke on his Air Force provided jet service?  Share, people.  Share!

I am pleased and impressed with the almost total lack of Republican celebrations over the mid-Terms. I have been searching for the website of the Office of the Speaker of the House-Elect, and cannot seem to find it on Mr. Gore's Interwebz.

The only reason I would ever feel sorry for Nancy Pelosi is if Tony and Gina Pelosi had a baby girl and named her Nancy. Otherwise, there is nothing in the realm of my imagination that would make me feel sorry for Nancy Pelosi. In fact, if I were Tony P, I would sue Nancy for making me ashamed of my last name. Now if your question is "Do you feel sorry for Nancy Pelosi having been Speaker"...

Is President Obama traveling to India to visit it or to attack it?

Harry Reid, Jerry Brown, Barbara Boxer, the Sanchez sisters and God only knows who else, were all elected by illegal alien voters. Check it out if you don't believe me.

Point being, we must use the opportunity we have with all the state house gains to tighten up voting laws. This motor voter shit has got to go. Voting without identification is insane. Indiana passed a law a in '08 that could be the model for the rest of the country.

I think I'll reprint a letter to the N&O I wrote back then (I used to persecute them regularly). Here we go...

N&O May 11th, 2008
Your May 4th editorial "Democracy's Loss" arguing that the US Supreme Court's ruling upholding an Indiana law requiring a photo ID to vote would place a new burden on poor or elderly people, was ludicrous. The law is eminently fair and well thought out.
This law makes provisions for people who are too indigent to pay for photo IDs. It allows people to file an objection based on their religious beliefs. It even gives voters who don't have an ID a chance to file a provisional vote and sort it out later. It doesn't deny anyone the right to vote. It just makes sure those who vote are in fact entitled to vote.
Do the poor and elderly not produce proper identification in order to collect their Social Security or other government benefits? Do they not produce IDs at the bank or grocery store? What legal American citizen goes through life without proper identification? But if there is such a person, this law provides for them.
I guess it doesn't matter that for the last 20 years we have had rampant voter fraud. We are drowning in illegal immigrants who are more than willing to illegitimately vote themselves legitimacy. And yet you say it's a law with a "strong whiff of voter suppression"? Right!

I'm NOT going to see Fair Game. I'm NOT putting money in Joe Wilson's pocket.

Unemployment report just released. Appears the job category, "World's Most Annoying TV Commentators" added one Keith Olbermann to their list of unemployed. Reason for loss of employment? He gave money to Democrats. C'mon Keith. Don't you know that is what Democrats do? Take your money AND your job?

I'm torn about Nancy Pelosi running for Minority Leader. On one hand, I want her to lose for her humiliation to be complete. On the other hand, I want the trifecta of Obama-Reid-Pelosi to continue to be the face of the Dems.

And Mitch McConnell needs to A. shut the hell up and B. be dumped as Minority Leader.

WRT BigFred's post, "I am pleased and impressed with the almost total lack of Republican celebrations over the mid-Terms"

I concur. When in the end zone, act like you've been there before.
