I discovered ESPN 360 this year trying to find the lowly Wahoos playing football on Saturdays. What I've discovered is a veritable cornucopia of sports that just don't get covered on the big networks. Cricket, European Football and (yes Doc Milnamow)--Gran Prix Auto Racing.
Cricket is a fantastic game. Half the spectators are reading books or newspapers. They stop for tea. They stop for lunch. Wonderful.

Used to watch Cricket in the Phoenix Park. 11 overs, it's a strange game.
I'd like to go deer hunting in Phoenix Park. Ever see how many of those buggars are there?
My guess on the Formula 1 racing coverage is that it's old stuff since Fox currently has the US rights. If that is the case, that'll be very cool. Jim Clark, Phil Hill, Mario Andretti, etc.
I'll check to see if ESPN 360 has "Footie". I used to love watching Aussie Rules Football on ESPN - you know way back when, when MTV actually played music - that far back!
Jim Clark, Jesus you're as old and burned out as I am. Clark was great with that British racing green Lotus. You know he raced NASCAR a bit. This was back in the days of Curtis Turner, Buck Baker and Cale Yarborough. They loved the guy and he seemed to really enjoy himself. Of course he had a thick Scottish accent so they probably didn't understand a word he said. I was a kid and I nearly cried when he was killed. A great, great driver.
Doc - I agree. And I always thought CW would make a great Aussie Rules referee. Their signal for a score always cracked me up.
Mudge, not just the signal for the score but the outfits thos goal judges wore...very funny.
