Hello all--sorry to have been so quiet but July has been and will be a brutal month for me in my day job. I'll be back with a little blogging this afternoon and this weekend, so please check back.
In the meantime, what's on your mind? Anything worth sharing with the crowd?

I had occasion to visit my local airport this Tuesday (usually I'm a bus station kinda guy, so this was a real treat). I was a bit taken aback at the appearance of our TSA officers. For all I know they may be the best trained, most professional organization since the Leibstandarte, but what a bunch of fat mofo's. These guys, and I talking every last one, must have dressed out at 300 lbs. EASY. Talk about Dunlap Disease (that's when your belly dunlapped over your belt), these dudes had it going on. They look like BBQ joint employees who munch on hushpuppies all day.
I hate to think these guys would have to chase anybody, because brotherman you better have those paddles handy to give 'em a zap!
Furthermore there were millions of 'em, and they were all sitting around on their fat asses shooting the breeze.
Thanks TSA for the job you do, I feel oh so secure now.
How 'bout the Russian spy swap. Haven't the Russkis figured out that they can just sit back and let Barry Hussein and crew turn America into a new Soviet state without any effort on their part?
With the addition of Cliff Lee to the Yankee lineup, the season will be essentially hopeless for the remaining 29 teams. They desperately need a salary cap in baseball, and the all-powerful players union (and the weak sister Bud Selig) will ensure it never happens. It's tragic.
OOPS-never mind. Talks with the Yankees broke down. Should have checked first. (But they STILL need a salary cap.)
