It's almost here--tomorrow night's Conservative Wahoo Live! Radio program. What would you like to talk about? Anything in the news really got your interest?
It seems Obama is doubling down on the race issue. Motivating his base is one thing, alienation millions of independent/moderate/disconnected swing voters is another. The more trouble Obama gets in the more he'll play the race card. Eventually the argument will degenerate into America is not post-racial but a deeply racist country unable to accept good and true leadership from a black man. That will be the conservative's challenge AND opportunity, to finally make playing the race card untenable.
If you're referring to me I'll make it a point to call in tonight. The Sergeant Major is visiting Eire so I'll grab a Da Vinci Exhibicion "A", a double Cutty on the rocks (I refuse to drink it neat) and call in for a rant. Get ready though. I'm in a particularly foul mood due to loss of consortium. I see where those old boxing managers were coming from now.
Kagan. McDonald v. Chicago Russian Spies NASA's misson... O'Bama's war of choosing O'Bama approval rating @ 34% Hammer's racial divide, what HAS O'Bama done for Blacks (as opposed to whites: since election?
I'm so ashamed. I was gonna call in but Command Sergeant Major (mother-in-law) made me bring the youngun' in to play in the pool. When I do that I have to stay (sober?) for supper and watch Jeopardy, so I'm too late getting home. Sorry.

The Blog: A compendium of thoughts on politics, world affairs, economics, pop culture and social issues, from the center right perspective of me--Bryan McGrath--a University of Virginia graduate who spent a career in the world's greatest Navy keeping my mouth shut about politics and social issues (ok, publicly keeping it shut). Those days are over! Pull up a chair and chime in where you will. Keep it clean, civil, concise and relevant.
The Fish: The fish is a "coat of arms" for the blog, symbolizing three formative influences in the life of the blog founder. The first is his experience at the University of Virginia--symbolized most importantly by the fish itself, or a caricature of a "Wahoo", the fish we have acquired as an informal nickname. Additionally there is the sword, the sword of a Cavalier. It is not wielded in a threatening manner, as this is a civil blog. But it is there, should it be needed. Thirdly, there is the influence of 21 years in the Navy--symbolized by the anchor on the Wahoo's fin (and again, the sword) . Finally, there is the bowler, tuxedo, and monocle, symbols of a refined, intellectual conservatism, or what I seek to encourage here.
The Policy: I take FULL responsibility for what I write. I will not be held responsible for the content of my comments section--as long as it is civil and passes my own inscrutable sniff tests, it will appear. If the comment offends you, that is on you.

Does suggesting a topic morally obligate one to listen to the show, especially if that topic is featured in the day of show agenda post.

No moreso than blegging for a topic obligates one to actually cover it.
I do listen, just not on your time schedule.
