Off To Charlottesville

Heading off in a few minutes to Charlottesville where the Wahoos will face the mighty Keydets of the Virginia Military Institute.  Probably good for a new major college program to face Richmond and VMI in the first couple of weeks of the season.

I'll be back to the blog tomorrow.  Lots going on this week--the pledge, Colbert, etc.

The WolfPack (3-0) will be playing on the road today against The Ramblin' Wreck of Ga. Tech. Although Cincinnati was a good win for us we'll find out where we're at today. It's looking like Coach O'Brien has everything in place now, so I'm optimistic.

Hey, I have some connection with Coach O'Brien (I love name dropping). His brother Dennis used to be my boss when I first got out of school. They're Irish Catholic boys from Cincinnati (Dennis went to Xavier)and Tom is an ex-jarhead and Navy grad.

CW that must kill you that George Welsh's protege managed to get away. He could be at UVA right now and winning a helluva lot more games than at State. Oh well.

And in other football action Ohio State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Michigan State ran up the scores on a bunch of hapless chumps from conferences nobody ever heard of.

Unfortunately Purdue dropped the ball (literally) and lost to Toledo, that's right Toledo of Ohio, 31-20.
Pussies!
