The continued Obama Administration fixation on "insuring the uninsured" cannot and will not bring healthcare costs down--it will raise costs for everyone else. Only structural reform will do that--and I'm not sure a population grown content with the steady drip of entitlements will be prepared to make those sacrifices. The President's rosy statements notwithstanding, universal healthcare will either come at the cost of 1) the private health insurance system 2) tax increases on everyone or 3) both.
