RNC Has $5M on Hand

Stories in the press are out suggesting that the RNC is way behind the DNC in fundraising.  That may be true.  I won't give a penny to the RNC until Michael Steele is gone.  I'll give money (and have given) to individual candidates and PACs, but the Party gets nothing from me until we get someone in charge who isn't a clown.

I get calls weekly from the RNC. I too tell 'em to take a hike. But the DNC is way ahead and of course with the money Obama has thrown at the special interests and unions (26 bil. about two weeks ago) the Dems are well positioned. Their ground game last time was outstanding and with all that cash, no reason to think that will change.
That's why it's so important to present a clear understandable message rather than just "we don't like Obama". If you don't define yourself someone else will and the Dems have already started with the "no ideas" BS.
There are several options here. I think I would prefer to rerun the 80 election (the Dems want to rerun '08). It ties Obama to Jimmy Carter (which reportedly he hates) and it's an optimistic, positive message of renewal etc. And keep the subtle message that Obama is a raghead. He has nowhere to go on this one. If he trots out his Christian bona fides then Rev. Wright is back in the debate.
The Republicans can win, and win big if they don't blow it. Real unemployment (U2) is 16.5% and the financial press puts the underemployed at 18.5%. Growth is 3% which is total bollocks. You can't have 30% marching time and get growth, so hit those numbers hard. Deficits, debt, trade imbalance, national security, immigration...we hold all the cards. So expect vicious, underhanded, filthy, dirty lies and attacks from all quarters.
