Some Neighbors Pay a Visit

We've a large colony of iguanas living amongst us here.  Quite docile, wonderful looking beasts.

When I was in school Dean Tilman (R.I.P.) taught a senior seminar just to keep his hand in the game. He had spent a good part of his adult life in the tropics of Asia. He told us while living in the Philippines he walked into his kitchen and saw a huge Iguana scurry behind a press. Naturally he wanted to get someone in to evict the creature but his native housekeeper protested vehemently. No she said, this is good luck she said. An Iguana living in your house was a sign from the Gods.

So CW, you must be living right. Even still, I'll bet they grill up nice.

We had a healthy population of Cuban Rock Iguanas in Guantanamo - Iguanastan - and they were truly amazing beasts. They look absolutely prehistoric. I loved how at the end of the day, they would be out in the street, flattening themselves against the pavement to soak in the last heat of the day.
