Well it seems our Navy (the sharpest dressed military in the World) will now allow women on submarines. If I understand the modern sub's mission, they are basically missile platforms that sit on the ocean floor for months on end. During this time the sailors run drills, play a lot of Xbox and try not to get caught spanking the monkey.
If women were introduced into such an environment I feel (yes feel not think, I'm trying to be more fuzzy-wuzzy) morale will suffer. Sooner or later there will be a woman skipper and what happens then? I'll tell you: endless hours cruising around some harbor looking for the "perfect" parking spot. Liberty calls in places like Genoa because it's close to Milan and it happens to be "fashion week". Crew prohibitions against farting, burping, foul language and crotch scratching.
This cannot be allowed. This is the US Navy (the sharpest dressed military in the world). Gentlemen, stand up for your self and while you're doing it wear those cute white uniforms with the white shoes.

My diet, as it were, was blown for the week last night. Brother Will is in town and frog gigging requires lots of beer and pork rinds...so there. Brother Kurt arrives tonight. The streets won't be safe for anyone...you were warned.

Spaghetti supper's on at Saint James tonight. Ya'll come.

Hammer, women on subs has been a 3rd rail issue forever. Most of them cannot speak about it rationally.

Can someone tell me how Charlie Crist is different than Arlen Specter?

He didn't go all the way to being a Dem?

At least Crist, along with flopping on his party affiliation, also flipped on his position on offshore drilling. Or is it flipping on party and flopping on drilling? Flip flops are for walking all over. Hopefully that is what voters will do to this one in November.

I have to rant on "Exception to Policy" requests and those who stand in the way of granting them.

When I request an exception to policy, it freaking drives me crazy when the person I am speaking with, or requesting through, tells me, "Sir, we can't approve that, it's against/not in accordance with policy."

I always take a huge breath, count to five, and carefully explain, "That's why I am asking for an exception."
