Hard Bats And Softballs

In other news...

Three bisexual men are suing a national gay athletic organization, contending they were discriminated against during the national Gay Softball World Series in 2008.

The suit alleges the North American Gay Athletic Alliance deemed the men "not gay enough" to participate in the series.

I guess it's true what they say, you sleep with one woman and you're labeled for life.

What if they were a group of straight guys who just REALLY liked to play softball and heard there was a chance to play in the world series:

"Dudes!! I found a world series to play in!"
"Alright!!! YDM! When is it and what do we have to do to qualify?"
"It's in 2008 and all we have to do is (barely audible)"
"We WHAT!!!????"
"But guys! It's a WORLD SEEEERIES"
"Yeah, he DOES have a point."
"grumble mumble...whispering...Okay, we'll do it."
[1 hour later]
"Yech! I feel like throwing up. But dudes! We are as good as IN!"
"Woo-hooo (some accounts report it was "Waa-hooo")!!!!
[Phone rings]
"Hello?"
"Yes? Hold on a second, "Keep it down guys! It's the NAGAA!"
"Okay, I'm back."
"Whaddya mean that's not good enough? I mean, do you know what we had to do to qualify? It was the most disgusting thing we've ever done except for that frat party in Charlottesville years ago that none of us talk about anymore."
"Yeah, of course you know what we had to do and yes, I'm sorry for making it sound disgusting."
"Okay. Thanks for letting us know before we got into daily practices."
"What's that? REALLY??? No kidding? I mean, no strings attached?"
"Perfect, thanks a ton! Buh bye."
[hangs up phone]
"Dudes, good news bad news. Bad news is we failed to qualify. Chicks EVER equals disqualification unless we once were chicks."
"So what's the good news?"
"The good news is, there's another National World Series in 2009 and even though it fell short for the NAGAA's competition, the DNC is sponsoring the next one AND ITS GONNA BE IN CHARLOTTESVILLE!!!"
"WAHHHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!".

I walked by the annual New York City Ballet company's father/son picnic in Central Park a few years ago. Very strange, no one showed.
