Glass House

Maybe we shouldn't be wagging our fingers so much at the Greece.

The U.S. suffers from a similar problem as Greece. It spends like a socialist
nation, but it taxes like a capitalist nation.

Doncha love the spin USA Today put on taxes. Let's see if I've got it right...eh tax revenues are down therefore Americans aren't being taxed that much (nevermind all the economic activity that isn't happening because the government is taking all the money and nobody has a job). So by their logic Reagan and W must have been among the highest taxing Presidents ever.
Here in the real world we look at it differently. Reagan nearly tripled revenues by LOWERING TAXES. Bush's tax cut made possible a roaring economy even after the 9/11 economic jolts.
USA Today is a fishwrap and this line of BS proves it.

And on another note, how about this gem? Hold fire, win a medal. Hell I practice "courageous restraint" every time I refrain from throwing a beer bottle through the TV screen during the evening news....Jesus!

Soon we'll give female sailors a medal for not getting pregnant on deployment.

John S - That's what I did deer hunting last year. Maybe someone could award me some venison so I can stop looking at an empty freezer.

Don't get me started on taxes. I will pop a vein! Last I heard right about 46% of Americans don't have any real tax liability anyway the 54% of us pay for everything. Unreal.

Mudge, if it's venison you crave, you need only spend the morning on either my front or back porch, coffee in one hand, smoke-pole in the other.

Coupla years ago we were headed to Durango to hunt elk. One of the knuckleheads in my party wanted to put in for mule deer tags too. I'll be damned if I'll drive all that way and pay extra to kill deer when we're covered up with them here. ....now a pronghorn tag...different story.
