Navy Victory in the Supreme Court

I was asked earlier today if I were going to blog about the Navy's victory in the Supreme Court today. I thought about it, then realized that Information Dissemination would be on the job. The coverage of this case is simply unmatched.

Just like the failed ballot initiatives on gay marriage, I doubt this will be the last time we hear about this issue.

When will the shipping industry find themselves fighting before the supremes over their destruction of the marine environment and mammals? Probably never. From the beginning it was never about whales. It was about limiting military activity and that is the great tragedy of this exercise.

i found the posts from blog readers to be especially interesting on this issue. a couple indicated that the nrdc has an office in china and then made the connection to china's stated strategy of limiting us military operations in US courts. if this is all true, then if there isn't a story there, i can't imagine where there is one.
